Sebastián Macchi é pianista e compositor, nascido em Entre Rios, Argentina. Arriazu, nascido em Formosa, Argentina, é compositor, instrumentista e arranjador, sendo uma das principais referências do violão de oito cordas da atualidade. Ambos se conheceram nos históricos encontros de Música Popular em Isla del Cerrito (Chaco), em 1999, e no Rio de Janeiro, onde viveram por algum tempo. Em 2019, foram convidados a participar do Tertulia International Art Residency, em Hamburgo, Alemanha, o que lhes permitiu produzir e projetar um repertório em conjunto. O duo aborda um repertório de músicas instrumentais com a união de piano e violão oito cordas, refletindo um forte componente paisagístico rítmico presente na região guaranítica-litoral.

Sebastián Macchi is a pianist and composer, born in Entre Rios, Argentina. Arriazu, born in Formosa, Argentina, is a composer, instrumentist, and arranger, regarded as one the main references on the eight-string guitar of the present generation. Both met in the historic encounters of popular music in Isla del Cerrito (Chaco) in 1999 and Rio de Janeiro, where both lived for some time. They worked together on two albums from the Argentinian interpreter, Cecília Pahl (Corochire – 2010, and Litoraleño – 2015). In 2019, they received an invitation from the Tertulia International Art Residency, in Hamburg, Germany, which enabled them to start producing and projecting a joint repertoire. The duo approaches an instrumental repertoire through the combination of the eight-string guitar and the piano, reflecting a rhythmic landscape present in the Guaranitica-litoral region, which is the source of influence and inspiration for their quest. They are original compositions of universal language, in which, a common harmonic history and great synergy between musical layers allow spontaneity and improvisation.
