Pianista de formação clássica, cantora, arranjadora, compositora e diretora musical, Maíra Freitas lançou-se no mercado com seu primeiro CD em 2011, com produção musical de sua irmã Mart’nália, com a participação de seu pai, Martinho da Vila, Wilson das Neves e outros. Em 2013 fez a direção musical, arranjos e atuou como cantora e pianista ao lado de Mart’nália no disco Carnavalança – Carnaval para Crianças, lançado pela Biscoito Fino. Em 2014, destaque para apresentação no Brasil SummerFest/Central Park SummerStage (Nova York). Em 2015, fez trilha original e direção musical do espetáculo infantil Quero Ser Ziraldo, compôs o choro Centro da Cidade para o álbum Pitoresco Musical e lançou Piano e Batucada – Biscoito Fino/Natura Musical. Em 2017/18 participou da turnê Refavela 40 ao lado de Gilberto Gil, Céu, Anelis Assumpção e Moreno Veloso. Em 2019 montou a banda Jazz das Minas que estreou no festival Jazzing em Luanda, Angola, seguindo com apresentações no Sesc Jazz 2021, FLUP RJ, Festival TendaLab, BRAJAZZ 2022 e SESC PULSAR 2022. Em 2020, com a pandemia começou a compor com seus fãs na internet e criou o single Tambor Atento, lançado em 2021. Em 2023 se prepara para lançar seu 3º álbum. Maíra Freitas divide o palco com Monica Ávila ao saxofone e flauta transversa.

Classical pianist, singer, musical arranger, composer, and musical director, Maíra Freitas introduced herself in the music industry with her first album in 2011, with her sister’s musical production Mart’nália, featuring her father, Martinho da Vila, Wilson das Neves and others. In 2013, she worked on musical directing, arranging and as a singer and pianist with Mart’nália on the album Carnavalança – Carnaval para Crianças, released by Biscoito Fino. In 2014, highlighting her performance in Brasil SummerFest/Central Park SummerStage (Nova York). In 2015, she created the original soundtrack and directed the children’s theater play Quero Ser Ziraldo, composed the choro Centro da Cidade for the album Pitoresco Musical and released Piano e Batucada – Biscoito Fino/Natura Musical. In 2017/18, participated in the Refavela 40 tour with Gilberto Gil, Céu, Anelis Assumpção, and Moreno Veloso. In 2019, assembled the band Jazz das Minas that debuted in the Jazzing em Luanda festival, Angola, followed by performances at Sesc Jazz 2021, FLUP RJ, TendaLab Festival, BRAJAZZ 2022 and SESC PULSAR 2022. In 2020, due to the pandemic, she started composing with her fans on the internet and created the single Tambor Atento, released in 2021. In 2023, she’s setting herself for her third album. Maíra Freitas shares the stage with Monica Ávila on saxophone and transverse flute.
