Fundado em 1998, o Swiss Piano Trio é formado por Martin Lucas Staub, ao piano, Angela Golubeva, ao violino, e Franz Ortner, ao violoncelo. O Trio foi o primeiro vencedor do International Chamber Music Competition em Caltanissetta (Itália) 2003 e do International Johannes Brahms Competition (Áustria) 2005. Durante o mesmo ano, foi homenageado com o Swiss Ambassador's Award no Wigmore Hall London. Já se apresentou em 45 países em todos os continentes. O trio aparece como um conjunto de solistas junto com orquestras como a Scottish Chamber Orchestra, a Russian National Orchestra, a Athens State Orchestra, a Zurich Chamber Orchestra, a Bern Symphony Orchestra, o Musikkollegium Winterthur, a Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, a Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, a Queensland Orchestra em Brisbane e outros mais. O conjunto trabalhou com maestros como Thomas Zehetmair, Mario Venzago, Johannes Fritzsch, Loukas Karytinos, Pascal Rophé entre outros. Apresenta-se em festivais como o Menuhin Festival Gstaad, o Ottawa Chamberfest, o Kuhmo Chamber Music, o Canberra International Music Festival, o Esbjerg International Chamber Music Festival, o Båstad Chamber Music Festival, o Festival of the Sound ou o Chamber Music Festival Schloss Laudon em Viena. Foram documentam o conjunto obras de Mozart, Mendelssohn, Robert e Clara Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák e Eduard Franck, bem como trios dos compositores Paul Juon, Frank Martin e Daniel Schnyder. A edição completa das obras de Beethoven para trio de piano, incluindo o Triple Concerto junto com a Zurich Chamber Orchestra e a própria versão de Beethoven de sua segunda sinfonia para trio de piano, foi concluída recentemente. O conjunto também é fortemente comprometido com a música contemporânea suiça.

One of the most acclaimed contemporary Brazilian instrumentalists, with many concerts in theaters and festivals in Brazil and abroad, such as Lincoln Center, in New York, Montreaux Jazz Academy, in Switzerland and Jazzahead in Bremen, Germany (2023), Amaro Freitas brings his solo concert to the opening night of Pianístico de Joinville. He was born in the outskirts of Recife, he learned music during his teenage years, in the evangelical church. He won a scholarship to study at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música, as a student of Rafael Vernet. In 2016, Amaro Freitas released his debut album, “Sangue Negro”. In 2018, he was invited by singer Lenine to be part of the CD “Lenine em trânsito”, playing piano in the song “Lua candeia”. In the same year his album “Rasif” was released by the English label “Far Out Recordings”, which incorporates rhythms such as Frevo, Afrojazz, Maracatu, Coco and Baião. Still in 2018, he was part of “Brasil Music Exchange” – Música & Artes (BM & A). In 2020, he recorded with Milton Nascimento and Criolo the songs “Cais” e “Não existe amor em SP” and with Milton and the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra a version of the song “Drão”. In 2021, his album “Sankofa” was released by the English label “Far Out Recordings”. His work incorporates to the Jazz language, sounds and references from Brazilian Popular Culture, in addition to rhythmic elements of African music.
