A celebrated soloist and orchestral performer, Claire Huangci has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Paris Philharmonie, Frankfurt Alte Oper, Dortmund Konzerthaus, Munich’s Prinzregententheater, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus, and Salzburg Festspielhaus. She has been a featured artist at prestigious festivals such as Lucerne Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, and Klavier Festival Ruhr.
Her collaborations include performances with the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Munich Chamber Orchestra, and Basel Chamber Orchestra, working with renowned conductors such as Carl St. Clair, Elim Chan, Michael Francis, Howard Griffiths, Pietari Inkinen, Jun Märkl, Cornelius Meister, Sir Roger Norrington, Eva Ollikainen, Alexander Shelley, and Mario Venzago.
Born in Rochester, New York, Claire displayed an early affinity for the piano. She studied under Gary Graffman and Eleanor Sokoloff at the Curtis Institute of Music and later with Arie Vardi in Hanover. She has garnered acclaim through multiple competition victories, including the Chopin Competition, ARD Music Competition, Géza Anda Competition, and Grand Prix de Paris Play Direct Academy.
Claire serves as an ambassador for Henle Publishing House and is the artistic director of the Erbach Kammerkonzert series.
