Nascida no Rio de Janeiro, a compositora, cantora, pianista e diretora musical, foi recentemente indicada ao Grammy Latino de Melhor Álbum da MPB de 2019 pelo álbum Tempo Mínimo. Com trajetória iniciada em 1988 com o Duo Fênix, participou de festivais ‘Montreux Jazz’ em 1988, em 1989 no ‘Sofia Jazz Festival’, na Bulgária e no ‘New Morning’ em Paris. Nas décadas de 1990 e 2000 trilhou os caminhos na música instrumental ao lado de grandes nomes da música popular. Na carreira solo, lançou os álbuns Antonio (1999), Presente (2010) e Saudações, Egberto (2011). Entre 2005 e 2006, atuou na Escandinávia nas turnês ‘Hotel Vermont’ com Lisa Nilsson e gravou o CD ‘Casa da Praia’ do grupo ‘Avenida Atlântica’, apresentando-se no ‘Copenhagen Jazz Festival’. A partir de 2007 tem seu nome reconhecido como diretora musical de produções premiadas, como Elis – A Musical e Chacrinha – O Musical, entre outros espetáculos e shows. Em 2019, foi uma das vencedoras do Prêmio Profissionais da Música. Delia Fischer é acompanhada pelo baixista Matias Correa.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, the composer, singer, pianist and music director, was recently nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best MPB Album of 2019 for her album Tempo Mínimo. With a journey beginning in 1988 with Duo Fênix, she participated in the festivals ‘Montreux Jazz’ in 1988, in 1989 at ‘Sofia Jazz Festival’ in Bulgaria and at ‘New Morning’ in Paris. In the 1990s and 2000s, she followed the paths of instrumental music alongside great names in popular music. In her solo career, she released the albums Antonio (1999), Presente (2010) and Saudações, Egberto (2011). Between 2005 and 2006, she performed in Scandinavia on the ‘Hotel Vermont’ tours with Lisa Nilsson and recorded the CD ‘Casa da Praia’ for the group ‘Avenida Atlântica’, performing at the ‘Copenhagen Jazz Festival’. Since 2007 she has been recognized as the musical director of award-winning productions, such as Elis – A Musical and Chacrinha – O Musical, among other presentations and shows.
