Formado em 2001 pela união do baterista Edu Ribeiro, do pianista Fabio Torres e do contrabaixista Paulo Paulelli, o trio vem criando um som original, interpretando de forma única os clássicos do choro, da MPB e do seu crescente repertório autoral. Em 2005 gravaram o seu primeiro álbum – Corrente – em 2011 o segundo álbum, Volume 2. Em 2014, o álbum Song For Maura, em parceria com Paquito D’Rivera, conquistou o Grammy Award como melhor álbum de jazz latino. Pelo mesmo trabalho, ainda venceriam o Latin Grammy, dividindo o prêmio com o lendário pianista americano Chick Corea. Em 2016 lançam seu novo álbum, Volume 3. A maioria das composições são de artistas consagrados e composições autorais dos três integrantes.
Formed in 2001 by the union of drummer Edu Ribeiro, pianist Fabio Torres and bassist Paulo Paulelli, the trio has created an original sound, interpreting in a unique way the classics of choro, MPB and its growing authorial repertoire. In 2005 they recorded their first album – Corrente – in 2011 their second album – Volume 2. In 2014, the album Song For Maura, in partnership with Paquito D’Rivera, won the Grammy Award for best Latin jazz album. For the same work, they would also win the Latin Grammy, sharing the award with legendary American pianist Chick Corea. In 2016 they released their new album, Volume 3. Most of the compositions are by established artists and authored compositions by the three members.
