Trabalhou com maestros como Christoph Campestrini, John Nelson, Stefan Sanderling, Rodolfo Fischer, Susan Haig, Bernhard Klee, Xian Zhang e Alexander Titov. Além dos programas de seus concertos, apresenta Classical Smackdown, uma espécie de competição entre compositores com o público votando em seu compositor favorito, experiência que traz agora ao Pianístico. Lançou 30 discos de compositores como Prokofiev, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Schubert, Rossini e Grieg, bem como as Sinfonias V e VII de Beethoven/Liszt e a versão para piano solo do Carnaval dos Animais. Seus recentes projetos incluem Hymns and Dervishes, de Gurdjieff e Hartmann, Distant Voices: Piano music of Claude Debussy & Gao Ping e a Fantasia para Violino e Piano, de Schubert, com William Harvey. Como professor, atuou na Juilliard School, Indiana University 's Jacob School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, Banff Centre, Carnegie Mellon University e Hartt School em Hartford, CT e conservatórios na China. Beyond his concert program, Frederic Chiu presents Classical Smackdown, a competition where the audience votes for their favorite composers, an experience featured in his Pianístico program this year. He released 30 albums of composers like Prokofiev, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Schubert, Rossini & Grieg, and the V and VII Symphonies of Beethoven/Liszt and the solo piano version of Carnaval dos Animais.
