Graduada pela Juilliard School, Tenenbaum rompe os limites entre composição clássica, narrativa popular e jazz improvisado para criar música de concerto acústica e eletroacústica para uma ampla gama de conjuntos, solistas, organizações e disciplinas artísticas. Baseada em Nova York, Tenenbaum se apresentou com orquestras em Israel, Europa, Ásia e EUA, estreando suas próprias composições e composições/improvisações em concertos em locais como The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, The Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, The National Arts Gallery (NY), Harvard University, SXSW de Austin, Jerusalem Music Center, Konzerthaus de Berlim, National Theater da Coreia e o clube de jazz Monk to Bach em Seul, entre muitos outros. Em 2022, Tenenbaum criou arranjos e orquestrações para o lançamento do álbum mais recente de Lang Lang com a Royal Philharmonic Orchestra de Londres (Universal Media Group/Deutsche Grammophon/Disney) e compôs uma obra original para Lang Lang e Pentatonix. Outras colaborações incluem duetos com Eitan Kenner e Julian “J3PO” Pollack; além de direção musical para Titus Burgess, Lea Michele, The 8-Bit Big Band e Tori Kelly, juntamente com muitos outros. Foi apresentada no Maya & Marty da NBC como diretora musical associada, se apresentando com convidados como Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Steve Martin, Emma Stone, Kenan Thompson e Nick Jonas. Foi homenageada com o Prêmio Harrington e o Prêmio Jean Banks do BMI. Em 2014, foi premiada como membro do BMI Lehman-Engel Advanced Workshop. Seu catálogo de obras é representado pela ASCAP. É uma Nord Artist e uma Yamaha Artist, e também criou música licenciada internacionalmente para uso pelo Walmart.

One of the most acclaimed contemporary Brazilian instrumentalists, with many concerts in theaters and festivals in Brazil and abroad, such as Lincoln Center, in New York, Montreaux Jazz Academy, in Switzerland and Jazzahead in Bremen, Germany (2023), Amaro Freitas brings his solo concert to the opening night of Pianístico de Joinville. He was born in the outskirts of Recife, he learned music during his teenage years, in the evangelical church. He won a scholarship to study at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música, as a student of Rafael Vernet. In 2016, Amaro Freitas released his debut album, “Sangue Negro”. In 2018, he was invited by singer Lenine to be part of the CD “Lenine em trânsito”, playing piano in the song “Lua candeia”. In the same year his album “Rasif” was released by the English label “Far Out Recordings”, which incorporates rhythms such as Frevo, Afrojazz, Maracatu, Coco and Baião. Still in 2018, he was part of “Brasil Music Exchange” – Música & Artes (BM & A). In 2020, he recorded with Milton Nascimento and Criolo the songs “Cais” e “Não existe amor em SP” and with Milton and the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra a version of the song “Drão”. In 2021, his album “Sankofa” was released by the English label “Far Out Recordings”. His work incorporates to the Jazz language, sounds and references from Brazilian Popular Culture, in addition to rhythmic elements of African music.
